Saint Catherine Resort
Pavilion of the Center for Ayurveda
In the first half of 2018, we completed the full delivery of the load-bearing wooden structure of the new building of the Ayurvedic Medicine Pavilion at the Saint Catherine Resort, which was created according to the design of architect Jakub Tejkl. The skeletal load-bearing system is interesting for its placement on stones (menhirs) ranging from 1 to 2 meters in height and also has an atypical shape of columns – in plan, shaped like "+", "T", and "L"; these were manufactured in the workshop and only assembled on site. All structural elements are machined at the CNC woodworking center Hundegger K2i. The total volume of all the used timber was approximately 340 m3.
