Wooden

panels

Quickly, simply and regardless of the weather

Time,
material, and financial savings

The demand for buildings that can be constructed in a few weeks, are affordable, and have low energy operating costs is continuously increasing. It is therefore no surprise that the popularity of wooden-based load-bearing wall panels is also rising. It is precisely these wooden panels that can be used in the 'dry construction' method to quickly build load-bearing structures for family houses as well as multi-storey administrative buildings.

Wooden panels for the quick assembly of wooden buildings are the answer to current trends in construction. They have excellent static properties, a long lifespan, a natural character, and provide buildings with the desired aesthetic value.

Wooden panels for the quick assembly of wooden buildings are the answer to current trends in construction. They have excellent static properties, a long lifespan, a natural character, and provide buildings with the desired aesthetic value.

The biggest advantages of wooden panels for load-bearing walls in wooden buildings:
  • “dry construction” is essentially unlimited by climatic conditions

  • high degree of prefabrication

  • quick assembly

  • natural character

  • possible fire protection execution

  • long lifespan

  • aesthetic value of solid wood

  • variability

Uses of wooden panels based on KVH and CLT:
  • load-bearing structures of family houses including passive houses

  • load-bearing structures of apartment, administrative, and civic multi-storey buildings

  • mobile structures

Where to Apply Wooden Panels

Load-bearing walls of timber constructions are assembled like a children's construction set. They are used wherever there are demands for quick assembly, precise work, and low costs. Wooden panels used for the load-bearing walls of timber structures, either CLT panels or KVH profiles, are available in non-visible quality (for covered constructions) or with one or both surfaces visible.

What Characterizes Wood-Based Load-Bearing Wall Elements

For wooden panels used in the construction of load-bearing walls, it is true that they are pre-prepared in the supplier's covered hall. After being transported to the construction site, they are assembled - thus saving time is maximized.

Wooden panels can be used not only for the construction of load-bearing walls but also for entire buildings. Architects or the manufacturers themselves can help decide whether to choose CLT panels (cross-laminated) or KVH profiles with panel sheathing. Wood-based wall elements can also be used for load-bearing structures of floors and ceilings.

CLT Panels

A significant advantage of cross-laminated CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) panels is their integrity and high static load capacity in both directions. The construction system comprises at least three mutually perpendicular layers of solid wood that are glued with environmentally friendly adhesives free of formaldehyde and can be manufactured as non-visible or visible on one or both sides.

KVH Profiles

KVH beams are most commonly used for the production of wooden wall panels. The panels are constructed using the so-called two-by-four system. One side is subsequently covered with OSB or Fermacell panels.

How We Manufacture Load-Bearing Walls of Timber Constructions

At the beginning, there is of course the architect with the designer and investor. The specialists of KASPER CZ pay attention to every detail. They propose specific solutions for individual elements of the construction using specialized software and support it with static calculations.

For the actual production of wall elements, we most often use spruce or larch wood. In a covered hall, the load-bearing walls are completed precisely according to the assignment documentation. The finished prefabricated parts are transported by truck to the construction site where carpenters assemble them, install ceiling load-bearing structures, roofs, and roof elements.

KASPER CZ designs and supplies exclusively the load-bearing parts of the walls without elements that do not directly relate to the static stability of the building.

Technologies Used in the Production of Wooden Panels Based on KVH and CLT

  • CNC Woodworking Center Hundegger K2i 1250 (1 piece)

  • Single-blade computer-controlled angle and shortening saw (2 pieces)

  • Four-blade angle and shortening saw (1 piece)

  • Design software R-STAB, RX-TIMBER from DLUBAL

  • Structural software SEMA

  • Framing press FRAMER LINE for panel production

  • Panel saw for sheet materials
